Zempire Atom Hiking Tent
The Zempire Atom Hiking Tent is a versatile, lightweight and easy to set up tent that that's suitable for 3 seasons.
Set up is ridiculously easy with only one pole which acts as the spine for the tent. Extend the alloy frame pole, which also comes with a brow pole already attached in the middle. Then slide the red side of the pole through the red eyelet of the tent, and then do the same for the other side. Feed the brow pole through the remaining eyelets and clip the inner mesh onto the now arching pole. The corners then need to be pegged down and the fly is attached with velcro to the pole and also clips in to the base. The whole process should literally take around 5 minutes including pegging.
Once set up, the inside will provide a spacious 220 cm x 90 cm sleeping area on the inside, but the outside will extend to 230 cm x 180 cm thanks to the extended, sloping side panel for extra rain protection and a vestibule.
Speaking of rain, the floor is rated to withstand 10000mm while the fly is 5000mm. This means that the floor will not get damp unless it's sitting a body of water for extended periods, while the fly should be sufficient to repel most showers (although I wouldn't trust it in very heavy downpours and storms).
There are internal pockets for your belongings and a hanging hook on the ceiling for a light source.
Overall, there aren't too many extra frills and features to speak of because it's always a trade-off between weight and features. So if you're after a lightweight, durable and easy to set up 3 season tent for your solo adventures then you can't go too wrong with the Zempire Atom.
