EverShower Recirculating Water Ensuite Tent V2
The EverShower Recirculating Water Ensuite Tent V2 is the second generation of the popular tent and has a unique shape that ticks most of the boxes. It’s slightly heavier than the previous model and weighs in at 7.5kg, but the upgrades make it worth it.
It comes with a portable 12v pump capable of pumping 25L of water per minute and is easily set up in 2 minutes. The EverShower V2 as the name suggests recirculates the water.l You can recycle up to 10 litres of water which you can heat up with a solar heated shower or you can use a portable water heater. Once the water is heated you can switch on the pump and enjoy a warm shower.
You can assemble your EverShower Ensuite tent anywhere you want and it comes in a useful carrying box.
One feature that I like with this shower tent is that the water is fully self-contained which means no water spills out of the shower tent. Whenever you’re out of the shower you’re sure that there’s no puddle waiting for you outside.

Things To Consider Before Buying A Shower Tent
A shower tent may not be something that you are familiar with. It’s a tent that we don’t often see in camping grounds but I bet you have seen it on beaches or at open field events.
Since the shower tent is a bit unfamiliar, I’ll be here to help you choose one that will best suit your needs.
Size
Shower tents come in a variety of sizes. The ideal size should be able to give you enough space based on your size and storage. So if you’re on the taller side of things you need to consider a shower tent that is not less than 2 meter high.
There are also shower tents with two separate compartments. One room is used for showering while the other room will stay dry and provide privacy while you get changed.
Setup
Like any other tent, it’s important to consider how the setup goes. Setting up your shower tent should be fast and easy. Most shower tents have a common set up and there are a lot of tutorials going around.
They usually are a hub system frame or a pop up setup. Pop up shower tents are often a lot less hassle to set up, but might compromise on the structural integrity. Those with a stronger, more rigid frame may take longer to set up but feel more secure and solid.
Ventilation
Ventilation can be an important factor in the shower tents especially if you plan on using warm water that produces steam. A material that doesn’t breathe in combination with low winds can create an uncomfortable sauna-like experience. To get around this, many tents have an open roof, breathable material or appropriately placed meshed windows.
Material
The type of material used for your shower tent dictates how durable the tent is. Make sure to pay close attention to material used for the fabric. The fabric should be both waterproof and UV resistant. The shower tent should be made of high quality material to guarantee it gets plenty of years of use.
The shower tent’s poles should strike that balance between being sturdy enough to hold up to the elements, but also light enough that it’s not outrageously heavy for the amount of use it will be getting.
Privacy
The main purpose of the shower tent is privacy. It can be awkward to change your clothes in the open and sometimes it’s uncomfortable to change in your tent especially if it doesn’t have enough head room.
To make sure that the tent provides as much privacy as possible, look out for features like zippered door panels, white panelled windows or any translucent windows so nobody can see you inside. Where you pitch and set up the tent also makes a large difference and should be taken into consideration with your budget.
Extra Features
Privacy is all well and good, but it’s the subtle extra features that make all the difference. Some give you the convenience to store your shower gels and shampoo on shelves and others have hooks and hangers to hang up clothes. Another personal favourite of mine are covered floors in the dry area, so you don’t get sand, grass or dirt on your feet when putting on shoes. Although it’s also easy to just buy an additional floor cover if your shower doesn’t come with it.
A shower tent shouldn’t be bought in isolation of your actual shower device. Assess both options in tandem, for example, do you need special hooks for your portable shower and even a specially designated area for solar powered hot water?
